Dalesman Gourmet Burger Mix

A busy bank-holiday counter does not need the longest burger list. It needs choices customers can understand quickly, products the team can make confidently and a clear reason to add something to the basket.

National Burger Day on 27 August and the late bank holiday create a useful moment to review the range. The goal is not to post about an awareness day for its own sake. Use the occasion to feature a best seller, trial a new flavour or learn what customers want
next.

Start with three easy choices

Choice overload can slow a decision. A simple three-part edit can make the counter
easier to shop:

  • Familiar: a classic burger with broad appeal
  • Bolder: a recognisable flavour with a clear point of difference
  • Hotter: a chilli-led option for customers seeking heat

The exact products should fit your customers and production. The structure works because each option has a role; it is not a wall of near-identical names.

If three is too few for your business, keep the same logic and group the rest clearly. The principle is to help customers compare, not restrict genuine choice.

Give every burger a clear story

“Premium” and “gourmet” are most persuasive when the product shows why. Use visible appeal, a recognisable flavour and a serving suggestion customers can picture.

Try a description that combines flavour and occasion: “A savoury onion burger with cracked black pepper, made for a loaded weekend bun.” It is specific enough to guide the customer without making an unsupported promise.

Use counter tickets consistently. Keep the product name prominent, add one short sensory line and include any dietary or ingredient statement only when it is current and approved for that exact product.

Use formats to make the flavour work harder

A suitable burger mix may also inspire koftas or meatballs, giving one flavour direction several counter formats. Always check the recipe and instructions for the intended application rather than assuming every mix transfers in the same way.

This joined-up approach can create a useful mini-range. A burger becomes the barbecue option, koftas create a skewer idea and meatballs support an easy family meal. Customers see variety while the flavour story remains familiar.

Make National Burger Day commercially useful

Choose one action for the day:

  1. Feature a classic, adventurous option and staff favourite
  2. Ask customers which special should stay for September
  3. Share a short making sequence and the cooked result
  4. Offer a serving card or recipe idea with each featured burger
  5. Use the responses to inform the next range review

Do not create false urgency. If an offer or limited edition is used, make sure the dates, availability and normal price are accurate.

Your burger-counter checklist

Before the bank-holiday weekend, check:

  • The range has clear roles rather than repeated choices
  • Current product instructions are available to the team
  • Counter tickets use accurate, simple descriptions
  • The finished products have been photographed well
  • One clear call to action appears in each post or email
  • Stock, pricing and delivery information have been checked live

Dalesman Direct carries Gourmet Burger mixes across classic, globally inspired, herb-led and hotter flavour directions, with product-specific options including gluten-free alternatives.
